i dyed my hair. i've been planning/plotting going back to the dark color, but just kept putting it off. i went natural for our wedding, and this summer i was outside for work every day so it got nice and bleached. saying goodbye to those high lights was like saying goodbye to summer for good....*sigh*....but i did it anyways. yay?
...but anyways, I'm pretty sure you guys don't care about that. what i wanted to share with ya'll was a delicious recipe. this christmas, amber and i wanted to make a lot of the gifts we were giving. we didn't want to just knit everyone something, but rather to make each gift unique for each person. so, we thought and crafted and made. one thing we made was homemade chai tea latte. (You know how I feel about Chai...) YUM. it was delicious and pretty stinking easy. it cost us about twenty dollars for all the ingredients and it yields about 52 servings....so, that's about .40 a cup. waaaaay cheaper than buying a cup at your local coffee house. so give 'er a try!
1-1/3 cups and 2 tablespoons nonfat dry milk powder
1-1/3 cups and 2 tablespoons powdered non-dairy creamer
1-1/3 cups and 2 tablespoons French vanilla flavored powdered non-dairy creamer
3-2/3 cups white sugar
2 cups and 3 tablespoons unsweetened instant tea
1 tablespoon ground ginger
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
1-1/2 teaspoons ground cloves
1-1/2 teaspoons ground cardamom
Combine all ingredients. Mix it up, then grind the mix until it becomes a powdery substance. (You can use a blender or even a magic bullet).
You'll want to add at least 3 tablespoons to a cup of hot milk. Stir and enjoy. :)
